...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes,
  Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu and Vernon and southeast Texas,
  including the following counties, Hardin, Jasper, Newton and Tyler.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
  Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
  passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 121 PM CDT, the public reported flooding in the warned
    area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 10 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lumberton, De Ridder, Jasper, Leesville, Silsbee, Woodville,
    Newton, Kirbyville, Kountze, Rosepine, Merryville, Reeves,
    Bon Weir, Call, Fields, Burkeville, Singer, Buna, De Quincy
    and Town Bluff.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

  southeast Texas, including the following counties, Hardin, Jasper,
  Jefferson, Newton and Orange.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 934 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain is ending
    however flooding will continue. Flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 6
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Beaumont, Lake Charles, Port Arthur, Sulphur, Orange,
    Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Lumberton, Vidor, Bridge
    City, Westlake, West Orange, Vinton, Kinder, Sour Lake, Nome,

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding will occur. The
  lowest homes between Deweyville and the river begin to flood,
  especially in the Indian Lakes and River Oaks sections. Low-lying
  roads and a few homes in Southwestern Beauregard Parish have some
  flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 25.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 2:45 PM CDT Monday was 25.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.0
    feet Thursday morning.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...West Fork of The Calcasieu River at Sam Houston Jones SP.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night to early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Low spots on South Perkins Ferry Road have
  water on it. Water is over some boat docks on South Perkins Ferry
  Road and over boat ramps at Sam Houston Jones State Park.
  Extensive marshland flooding will occur upstream and downstream
  from the park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:01 PM CDT Monday the stage was 3.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Wednesday morning to a crest of 5.5 feet Thursday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
